| Gaylynn M. Robinson Sleeping Beauty 8 1/4" X 10 1/2 " Watercolor |
I completed Sleeping Beauty and entered her in the Viewpoint Show that is scheduled for August.
I am pleased with the painting as a whole. I like the netting on the skirt of the dress, the hair and face.
What I am on the fence about is the couch. More specifically the pillows behind her.
I had debated on making the couch a solid color, which would have been
easier to make the creases and movement in the cushions. However, I felt that would
have taken away the charm of the scene.
So fingers crossed that the judge likes her too!

Ohhh Gaylynn this turned out more beautiful than I imagined . I love everything about it. I like you you have the legs going out of the picture ... and Sleeping Beauty's skirt netting is wonderful. Well done Gaylynn!
Gaylynn I'm guessing my comment went into cyber space. I commented that your painting turned out beautiful. Not only is the composition wonderful, the subject is amazing and tells a story all its own. I love the plaid, her hair, the dress. Amazing painting.
Good luck with VP - hope we both hang on the wall together!!!
Deb, I would be thrilled and honored to have a painting next to yours. Good luck to you as well :-)
