Gaylynn M. Robinson Watercolor Felix & Oscar 11x14 Commission |
"Come Over and Play" is my second commission for J. Brennan.
"I cannot thank you enough....it is better than I could have dreamed of.....and you have given immortality to two dogs who could not be more perfect and have truly been our children.....and what a way to start our new year! Thank you again for willing to take on the challenge."
- J Brennan
The commission of these two precious labs was a joy and a challenge. The challenge was trying to get a good reference from a over exposed photo all the while preparing for my youngest daughters wedding. I was pleased with both accomplishments.
Gaylynn M. Robinson Watercolor 11"x14" Locked Out Matted/Framed Kelsey Glover, owner |
Juried into 43rd Annual Viewpoint @Cincinnati Art Club Wessel Gallery When my "daughter", Kelsey, came back from Morocco she was showing me her photos. There were several that I really liked and she graciously allowed me to have a few of them. This particular photo was not only well set up, I liked the colors and the isolation the young man conveyed. I learned that the building this young man is sitting at is called Hassan Tower. Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco.

Gaylynn M. Robinson Watercolor 8"x11" Pumpkins Humphries Family, owner |
Pumpkins was painted from a snapshot that I took on a field trip to a pumpkin farm with my students. The farm belonged to my co-workers father-in-law. When the co-worker saw the painting she purchased it and gave the painting to her in-laws for their anniversary.

Gaylynn M. Robinson Watercolor 10"x12" Lunch Anyone? Diane Zimmerman, owner |
"What a way to remember our trip through the Switzerland countryside!"
-D. Zimmerman
While traveling, my friends and I were deciding where to eat. Looking into the window, I noticed the reflection of my friends in the windowpane. I liked how they became part of the window that framed the dining room inside.
