As we count down to watch the ball drop, I remember 23 years ago when I went into labor with my 2nd daughter. She was a week late for which I was happy. She was to be a Christmas Eve baby, but choose to come into the world around 2am on New Years day. We tell the story of how when we met with our tax preparer in February and told her our joyous news all she could say was, "Why didn't you get her birth certificate made out in California? Now you lost your write off!"
