Beginning Watercolor Class

I taught my first Beginning Watercolor class this evening. I only had two students, but I had a good time. I hope they did too.

Congratulation's Gaylynn....yippee .
Now those two students will tell two friends, and on and on and on. I'm sure they were thrilled they attended.

Thanks Nancy. One student is 10 the other is 58. I spent most of my time trying to get the 10 yr. old to follow directions. She just wanted to use the paint straight from the tube and very little water. So that is my goal for the next 4 weeks - getting her to listen and follow directions. Having said that...I enjoyed the evening.

If you are enjoying the experience and able to pass on information "it's a good thing". It's hard to teach, tho, when the ages are so disparate. I hope Nancy is right - word of mouth will lead to more. Good luck!
I had to laugh when I read your reply to my comment........ I found that when I was teaching adults, they were the ones that wanted to use watercolor's thick and right from the tube. When the 6 weeks were over one student commented that they were so suprised how little pigment it actually took to use watercolor. It's all a matter of teaching them. I'm sure your 10 year old will soar under your supervision. You go get-um girl. :-)
