Gaylynn M. Robinson Ladies At Tea WIP Watercolor |
I have added the some shadows in the skin tone
on the face, neck, arms and the hair
on the ladies.
School is winding down. I have seven days
(six with interns) until summer break.
I am looking forward to catching up on many
things around the house. Painting is at the top of my list.
Of course, there is household chores, my summer job and
the up coming wedding of my oldest daughter
in early July.
But,
All those things are for me and I am excited to begin!
I was stressing over getting these paintings done for the
May 31st deadline for Viewpoint.
Then I read my friend Rhonda's blog about
letting go, because she too was trying to paint for
the opportunity to get into the show.
Rhonda did not like the fact that her painting became a chore.
She was painting to enter a show and not for the
enjoyment of the process.
In that moment I let go.
I excepted that if one or both gets done then
I will enter. If not, oh, well. There are other
shows to enter when I have something I
am proud of and ready to enter.
Thanks Rhonda for your sound advice.
